Draft for legal review. These terms apply to every person or organisation that creates or operates a Showroom on INVIGIL, in addition to the Professional Terms (the INVIGIL SOP for Professionals) and the INVIGIL Terms & Conditions.
1. Who these terms apply to
1.1 "You" means the person or organisation that applies for, owns or manages a Showroom.
1.2 If you apply for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it to these terms.
2. Your Showroom
2.1 A Showroom is your public publishing identity on INVIGIL. It becomes visible to others only after INVIGIL approves your application.
2.2 You are responsible for everything published under your Showroom, including content posted by people you allow to publish on your behalf.
2.3 Your Showroom name, handle and description must be accurate. You must not impersonate another person, organisation, publication or government body.
3. Content standards
3.1 You will publish only content you own or have the right to publish.
3.2 You will not publish misinformation, deepfakes, hate speech, defamation, content that infringes anyone's rights, or content that is unlawful in India.
3.3 News and investigative content must be accurate, fairly presented and, where it makes serious claims, supported by evidence.
3.4 INVIGIL may review, label, limit or remove content that breaks these terms or the law.
4. Verification and accuracy of information
4.1 The details and documents you give us must be true and current. You will tell us promptly if they change.
4.2 INVIGIL may verify your information and documents at any time, including after approval.
5. Revenue, payments and taxes
5.1 Any earnings from your Showroom follow the INVIGIL Monetisation Guidelines in force at the time.
5.2 You are responsible for your own taxes, licences and registrations, including GST where applicable.
5.3 INVIGIL may hold or withhold payments while it investigates a breach of these terms or the law.
6. Suspension and removal
6.1 INVIGIL may suspend or remove a Showroom that breaks these terms, the Professional Terms or the law, or that puts users at risk.
6.2 You may close your Showroom at any time. Closing it does not remove content that INVIGIL must keep by law or for dispute purposes.
7. Liability
7.1 INVIGIL provides the platform and does not guarantee any level of audience or income.
7.2 You will compensate INVIGIL for losses arising from content you publish or from your breach of these terms, to the extent the law allows.
8. Changes and governing law
8.1 INVIGIL may update these terms. We will tell you in the app, and continued use after the change means you accept it.
8.2 These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at the location stated in the INVIGIL Terms & Conditions have jurisdiction.
